An area of rough grassland in Duffield is to be transformed into a wildlife-friendly site for the local community. The Ecclesbourne Restoration Project, co-ordinated by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, is working with local people on the site, owned by Amber Valley Borough Council off Ecclesbourne Meadows. The plans are to establish wildlife habitats and possibly a community orchard.
