Prominent parish councillor dies

Denby parish councillor Albert Rice has died, aged 88. Mr Rice was recognised with a county council Excellence in the Community Award in 2010. He served as a John Flamsteed School governor, on Denby Carnival, and at Denby Bottles Methodist Church. His funeral is on Monday, March 11 with a service at Horsley Woodhouse Methodist Church followed by interment at Denby Parish Church.
