Derby County will honour medical student and Rams fan Neil Dalton at a match this month.
The club has revealed that a tribute to Neil by some of his close friends will appear in the match day programme for the game against Cardiff on September 20.
The match will also include a minute’s applause 22 minutes into the game for the 22-year-old.
Neil, of Ambergate, was stabbed to death in Borneo, Malaysia, along with fellow Newcastle University student Aidan Brunger.
Neil’s friend, Ash Dhindsa, said he hoped the match would be a good opportunity to remember him.
He said: “Included in the tribute is a message to the fans, encouraging all supporters to come together in remembering two truly exceptional young men, with a minute’s applause on minute 22 of the game.
“You will know that Neil was a keen footballer and regularly attended Derby matches.
“He was involved in a number of sports teams alongside myself and the rest of his friends.”
Fishmonger Zulkipli Abdullah, 23, is charged with Neil and Aiden’s murders.
