Scout group will raise money as they deliver
STAMP and deliver is the Christmas wish of Belper Scouts who want to deliver Christmas cards locally to help raise money for charity.
Shops and churches displaying the Stamp and Deliver posters have now started selling stamps and the familiar yellow posting boxes are being set up.
Stamps cost 15 pence and out of that 13.5 pence is being donated to Scout Groups and the Derbyshire Children's Home which gives holidays to disadvantaged children.
This year is the 25th anniversary of the scheme which has so far raised more than 500,000 for charity.
Collections will be made from the boxes every few days from the Monday, December, 4, to 3 pm on Friday, December 15.
Participating outlets in the Belper area include; Hallmark Cards, Telegraph News Shop, George Cooper's and Corner News, all on King Street, Tomes Ironmongers and Children's Choice on Bridge Street, Hill Top Stores, Far Laund News, Britlands, Geoff's, Mr B's Parks Estate, P.
