Two-year-old ‘pushed from car’ during attack

A two-year-old and his grandmother were allegedly pushed from a car during a assault in Belper

On Saturday, June 6 between 4.50pm and 5.10pm a woman was in Belper River Gardens walking her young grandson in a pushchair.

She stopped to speak to a man who she knew and got into his car where an altercation took place.

The man then allegedly slapped her face and pushed her and the child from the car.

Now, police have made an appeal for people to help bring the alleged attacker to justice.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is asked to contact PC James Shaw at Ripley Police Station using the non-emergecy Derbyshire Police 101 number.
