Flipping good fun was in store as competitors lined up for this year’s Winster pancake race.
Participants of all ages took part in the annual Shrove Tuesday event in the Peak District village.
Old and young alike ran down Main Street cheered on by crowds of villagers.
One of the organisers, Nicola Gilbert, said: “It was fabulous and it made a change to have good weather.”
She said organisers were looking into the possibility of inviting schools from neighbouring villages to take part in the races in the future.
The event has been held in Winster for 60 years and winners got a first prize of £1, second prize of 70 pence and third prize of 50 pence. All entrants received a Freddo chocolate bar.
