Groundbreaking therapeutic sessions involving “portable reminiscence rooms” for older people experiencing memory loss, confusion and dementia are now on offer.

Sessions staged by Futures Homescape and Age UK are in a “RemPod” fitted with a vintage television and classic programmes help recall memories of family and first homes. Angela Foxhall, from Futures Homescape, said: “It’s designed to provide a safe space where attendees can relax and re-awaken memories.”

The sessions started yesterday, February 5 at Manor Farm Community  Centre, Belper.
