Warning to motorists over large patch of ice on Kilburn road

MOTORISTS heading along Ryknield Road in Kilburn towards Denby have been warned to take care due to a large build up of ice on the road this week due to a water leak.

Water has been leaking down Ryknield Road from the junction of Chapel Street towards Ticknall Lane for at least two weeks. Now due to the freezing temperatures it has formed a large patch of ice, meaning drivers need to slow down to negotiate safely.

There are road signs in place warning motorists about the conditions as they approach the stretch of road.
