Worker appointed to boost town trade

A town centre manager has been appointed in Eastwood in a bid to revitalise the town centre.

Matt Batterham has been appointed by Broxtowe Borough Council as town centre manager and will be working with businesses across the borough to revitalise Eastwood, Stapleford and Beeston.

Matt comes from a retail background, having previously worked for Tesco and most recently Greggs.

Town centre officer, Samantha Dodd, will support Matt. She moved into the team from the council’s economic development department.
