Xplorer events set to liven up Spring for young people across Amber Valley

Amber Valley Borough Council have this week announced plans to help kids get active and enjoy the great outdoors this Spring in a partnership with Amber Valley Village Games.

They plan to kick start ‘Xplorer events’ a way for families to keep active and have fun, the events will be held at Crossley Park in Ripley, Belper River Gardens and Alfreton Park to make the most of those warmer and lighter weekend.

British Orienteering have also joined forces to run a series of fun navigational challenges involving a healthy mix of physical activity and decision making.

Beth Turner from Amber Valley Village Games said: “Xplorer events are perfect for getting the family out and active together. All of the events are free of charge so pop down and give it a go!”

The first event on the year will take place on Sat April 12th at Belper River Gardens. Families are invited to come and have fun exploring the park anytime between 10am-12am free of charge.
