EXCITED children from a nursery in Belper celebrated the Chinese New Year in style.
Youngsters from Ladybird Pre-School marked the Year of the Dragon by having a go at some Chinese writing and decorating their play area in an oriental theme.
But the icing on the cake was a buffet meal at New Ming Court, a Chinese restaurant in Belper, which opened its doors especially for the children and their parents. Beth Woodfine, manager of the Alton Road nursery, said: “It was absolutely fantastic. The children really enjoyed themselves and there were some sticky faces and fingers!”
Seventeen children and 26 adults tucked into the food.
