TWO talented pupils at Denby’s John Flamsteed school have made a splash at national swimming championships.
Frazer Crump, 14, took seven medals in the junior boys section and set a new national record at the Royal Life Saving Society National Championships at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
Meanwhile, Hannah Jones, 14, has been taking part in the Olympic trials in Stratford as she attempted to bag her own place at London 2012.
She was also recently a member of the GB youth swimming squad in the 200m butterfly.
Assistant headteacher, Paul Moore, said: “Both said that just taking part in these championships was a brilliant experience and a reward for all the early mornings and late nights in the pool all year round and they both hoped to continue competing at youth and senior competitions.”
