A MAN who puts premiership footballers through their paces and has competed in Iron Man challenges around the world is turning his attention to brides-to-be.
Fitness trainer Marvin Burton will be staging regular bridal boot camps at Shottle Hall, in Belper, and offering brides, bridesmaids and mums the chance to shape up before the big day.
He will be staging regular four-week programmes to help brides slim into their dress, relieve some of their pre-wedding nerves and make friends with other brides-to-be.
Marvin said: “During my career I have worked with premiership footballers, professional boxers and basketball players and helped them all to reach new levels of fitness.
“But as a teenager I was overweight and bullied for being out of shape and I have had to work hard to get where I am. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than showing others what can be achieved with a sensible eating pattern, regular exercise and some simple changes in lifestyle.
“My sister got married in April and I helped her so much that her dress had to be taken in every week. She is the thinnest she has ever been now and I’m very proud that I was able to motivate her to achieve her goal of looking good and feeling great on the most important day of her life.”
Every Monday brides-to-be will meet at Shottle Hall to receive support and advice about lifestyle improvements and nutrition, as well as exercise sessions that demonstrate effective ways to burn fat.
And Marvin will stay in touch with each bride on a daily basis, either via email or text message, with challenges.
