HUNDREDS of revellers poured into Belper town centre to enjoy all the fun of the fair last week.

The annual Belper Fair was in full swing on the town’s Market Place and Coppice car park on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

And bad weather didn’t put off hordes of locals experiencing rides such as Cyclone, Roll Over Miami, Matterhorn, the waltzer and the dodgems.

Town Mayor Cllr Alan Cox opened the fair on the Thursday — and also braved the ghost train with his wife Jackie!

Among fair-goers were The News’ Fair competition winners — Chris Frost, of Kilbourne Road, Belper, Mrs E.Millington, of Monyash Way, Belper, and Lynda Evans, of Far Laund, Belper.
