the people of Milford celebrated the arrival of spring with some typically British weather — rain
Villagers took part in the traditionally eccentric May procession to welcome spring time and place well dressings at various points around Milford and Makeney.
Umbrellas were out as a parade full of colourful costumes joined Milford Brass Band, the Maypole and dancers on the route.
The well dressings were on show at the parade’s starting point of the Mill House.
Costumes and performances were themed around The Enlightenment and an exhibition from Milford’s Maids of the Mill dance team.
