Bookworms are being urged to grab bargain - and help a Belper charity project at the same time.

More than 2,000 books, which have been gifted to Strutts Community Centre in Derby Road , are now available to buy throughout the week - helping to raise crucial funds.

Priced at 50p for paperbacks and £1 for hardbacks, it is hoped sales from the books will provide much-needed cash to help with the upkeep of the centre.

People are encouraged to phone ahead on 01773 599993 to ensure the centre is open. However, events are held at the former grammar school on most days .
