More people have come forward to say they have witnessed strange lights in the sky over Belper.
Since The News ran a story last week about strange flashing lights people have been coming forward with their own UFO stories.
We reported how Tricia and John Booth, of William Street, were woken in the middle of the night by their phone re-setting itself, before looking out of the bedroom skylight to see three bright flashes in the night sky.
Now Mark Jones, of Heydon Close, says he had a similar experience.
He said: "It was just before Christmas. I was woken up and I just heard talking like there was someone outside.
"Then I realised it was the phone, saying something about six rings and resetting itself. While it was doing that there was a really bright flashing light.
"I have no idea what it was. The phone's never done that before and it wasn't a power cut. I put it down to there being something wrong with the phone and thought I must have imagined the flash. I'd like to find out what it was."
A Derwent View resident, who asked not to be named, said she also had a strange experience.
She said: "I saw what appeared to be a stationary light with what looked like beams radiating from it.
"It appeared three evenings in a row at about 5pm. It was too early to be a star and I doubt it could have been a helicopter. I did wonder if it could be a meteorite as it looked very like the ones I saw when we had a meteorite shower, but there was only the one. I must admit I was intrigued."
Ben Gill, of Alton Road, emailed the Belper News to report a sighting of a strange orange light in the sky while he was watching fireworks on Saturday, January 10. He says it was not a firework because it lasted too long.
He said: "Whilst I was on the phone I saw an orange light quickly going across the sky from right to left. It was far too fast to be a plane, from the far right of the sky it took five seconds to get to the centre of the sky horizon.
"I'm about 95 per cent sure it was not a plane or a helicopter, there was no noise, and it was just an orangeish glowing light."
A comment left on the Belper News website also tells how a group of friends saw a large, slow-moving orange light over Belper at the end of November.
