Proposals to transform a former public toilet in Belper into an office studio have been given the green light.

The site, which is located at the Triangle, is on the cusp of Belper town centre.

It was formerly in use as toilets for the public before it was closed to the public in November 2012.

Recent plans submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council were approved earlier this month.

The proposals raised no concerns from either residents or local councillors.

A report said: “The development complies with the provisions of the development plan for the locality and raises no unresolved issues in relation to the protection and enhancement of features at the site of architectural and historic importance.”
