Teenagers descended on a Ripley training company last week for an open day aimed at 14 to 18 year olds who want to find out more about training opportunities.
Representatives from Derby College, Babington College, Care Training and TBG Learning were on hand at Acorn Training. in Knightsbridge Place. to talk to the visiting teens on March 26.
The visitors also got a chance to engage in activities in some of the areas of training on offer, which included creating a crazy paving design in the quickest time, shaving a balloon, putting a cloth nappy on a doll and icing a cake.
A spokeswoman for Acorn said: “Things got a bit messy and competitive at times and a fun day was had by all!
“Most importantly there were plenty of teenagers through the door that were interested in finding out more about the training options that were available to them in terms of courses and apprenticeships. Visit www.acorn-training.com, call 01773 747 377 or find us on Facebook for more information.”
