Belper mountaineer Nigel Vardy has agreed to become a brand ambassador for an outdoor equipment company.
Nigel Vardy, of Swinney Bank, is taking up the role with Alfreton-based Terra Nova Equipment.
Former Herbert Strutt School pupil Nigel has helped test the firm’s gear for a number of years and has benefited from its support during various expeditions, including his quest to become the first Brit to climb the seven highest peaks on the seven largest islands, which he completed in 2007.
Carolyn Budding, Terra Nova’s marketing director, said: “Terra Nova and Nigel have a long-standing association.
“We are delighted that he will be a brand ambassador for our ranges.”
