HISTORIAN Louise Heaton from Horsley Woodhouse, is trying to piece together the village’s architectural past.

The 45-year-old, from Main Street, has been running a history club at the Royal Bristish Legion building in the village since 2008.

Her lessons take a different subject every month and look at how Horsley Woodhouse has changed over the years. Now she is calling on the help of fellow villagers to build up a picture of how the village has developed structurally over the past two centuries.

She said: “If you look through the village it’s hard to tell what age the buildings were built in.

“I just want to know if anyone has any information they can share with me about their homes.”

Louise’s history club attracts around 25 guests and runs every third week of the month.

The next class will be tonight, Wednesday, February 23 at 7.30pm.

If you can help Louise with information on your house such as when it was built and who were the former owners, contact Louise on 07708 361018.
