Owners of a Holbrook pub have applied for permission to extend and create an outside dining area.
Everards Brewery are asking Amber Valley Borough Council to grant the changes at the Dead Poets Inn on Chapel Street.
The Leicestershire based firm said in an application that an extension to the rear would provide customers with the opportunity to drink & dine in a larger, more
comfortable area than was originally provided.
They are also proposing a timber pergola in a rear patio area to allow them to offer outside dining during warmer weather. And an extension to the kitchen area is being sought to cope with an anticipated increased demand for food.
In their application, Everards stated: “Everards Brewery Ltd have built up an enviable reputation for rejuvenating pubs, combining careful and sympathetic works to establish successful and sustainable community facilities for the long term.”
