THE star of this week’s Rescue Me appeal is a young Staffie who loves nothing more than a game of tug-of-war.
Ozzy is a five-year-old Staffordshire Terrier who was taken in at the RSPCA centre in Derby after his owner sadly passed away.
He is missing his owner terribly, said Karen Carter, who is communities manager at the Abbey Street centre.
She said Ozzy does not get along with other animals, so would have to re-homed somewhere he would be the only pet.
But the Staffie is obedient and playful and, as Karen says, is definitely a people’s dog.
She added that he would be fine with older children.
To meet Ozzy pop into the centre in Derby.
Alternatively, to arrange a visit to see Ozzy, or any of the other animals they have there, give the shelter a call on 01332 344620.
