POLICE APPEAL: Derbyshire burglars in jewellery haul

Detectives are appealing for information after a Derbyshire house was ransacked for a large amount of valuables.

Burglars stole a large haul of jewellery after breaking in through the front window of a home on Broadway, Ilkeston.

The break-in happened between 9am on Wednesday, December 30 and 12.30pm the next day.

Several bracelets were taken during the burglary, as well as a gold charm bracelet, a ruby pearl ring with threee rubies in the centre and pearls either side of them, a pearl and sapphire ring, and a men’s gold wedding ring.

The offenders also took a gold pocket watch and a ladies’ rose gold bracelet watch, as well as a number of other items.

Police want to hear from anyone who might have witnessed the offenders in the area or could have seen any suspicious activity.

They also want to hear from anyone who might have been offered similar items for sale since the break-in happened.
