Investigators are urging people to come forward with information after several vehicles were destroyed in a blaze at a compound in Heanor.

Firefighters and police were called to Colson Transport, in Delves Road, Heanor Gate Industrial Estate, after reports of the fire.

A number of vehicles, including tipper trucks, skip loaders and a street cleaner, were destroyed in the blaze on New Year’s Eve.

A police spokesman said it is not known whether the fire was started deliberately and police are reissuing the appeal to find anybody with information.

The services were called about 8.45pm on Thursday, December 31.
