THE star of this week’s Rescue Me campaign is an inquisitive fellow by the name of Alfie.
He is a six-year-old saluki crossbreed and he is currently at Derby’s RSPCA shelter for the second time.
Not long ago staff at the centre thought they had found him a home.
But sadly, due to a bereavement suffered by his new owners, he had to be taken back in by the animal charity.
According to Karen Carter, who is communities manager at the centre, Alfie is a calm dog and is very inquisitive.
She said: “It must be the long nose!”
To arrange to visit Alfie and see if he is the pooch for you, give the RSPCA in Derby a call on 01332 344620.
Alternatively, make him a happy chap and pay him a visit at the kennels on Abbey Street.
