a COMMUNITY project in Belper was delighted to receive a surprise cash boost.
The Belper Cottage Project, which is based opposite the bus station on Chapel Street, happily accepted a donation of £50 from Catherine Sewter.
Volunteers were enjoying a get-together lunch after the monthly meeting of the trustees when Catherine handed over the cash.
Catherine explained that she has a Kleeneze round in Belper and she and her partner, Christopher, decided to donate the profit they made from the sales of Christmas paper, cards and gift tags to the project, which has been in existence for 17 years.
The chairman of the project Cllr Jackie Cox said that she was very pleased with the gift and thanked Catherine for thinking of them.
