PUPILS from a school in the Belper area could experience a Big Bang with TV professor Brian Cox.
The children could be turned into budding astrologers thanks to a school competition to win a science lesson that’s out of this world.
School children, teachers and parents in Belper can enter their class (or child’s class) into the prize draw, which will see the winners whisked off to the University of Manchester’s Jodrell Bank Observatory on January 19, 2012. The class will enjoy a workshop in the Discovery Centre with Professor Cox, get up close to the Observatory’s gigantic Lovell Telescope and discover more about the solar system. Register for the chance to take part at facebook.com/TheBigBang4U or www.thebigbangfair.co.uk/bigbanglessontake2. Entry closes on Monday, December 5.
