Pupils fund life-changing India trip

Two intrepid students at Belper School are staging a variety of fundraising events towards a “life-changing” expedition to India.

Nathan Shipsides and Fletcher Smith (pictured) are two of the Belper School students who will be going on the school organised trip in July 2014. They will will learn important skills such as leadership and team-working and will take part in constructing a sustainable greenhouse as well as renovating a school classroom.Several fund-raising events have already taken place, including a school disco and several coffee mornings.Nathan and Fletcher organised coffee and cakes at a local community hall in Belper. They will also hold a Race Night at Belper Rugby Club on September 20 and a coffee morning and Craft Fair at ‘No 28’ on December 21.
