A WOMAN whose husband lost his eyesight permanently in the space of a week because of cancer is holding a fundraising event.
Hazel Castledine is raising cash for Myeloma UK with a coffee morning and trade fair at Pentrich Village Hall.
Her husband Andrew, 59, who had 20/20 vision, lost his sight as a result of myeloma, which is a cancer that develops and grows in the bone marrow.
The event is on Saturday, November 26, between 10.30am and 3pm.
Hazel said: “There will be a chance to chat, eat cake and shop for Christmas.”
There will be stalls featuring, among other things, crafts, jewellery, aloe vera products and embroidery. There will also be a tombola.
