YOUNG bookworms who completed a summer reading challenge at Duffield Library have been presented with a certificate and a medal.
The children took part in the Circus Stars challenge, which was organised by Derbyshire County Council.
They had to read as many books as possible throughout the summer holidays, and those who read six received a medal and certificate. As part of the challenge, every time a child completed a book they took a card into the library to be stamped. They were also given prizes.
A spokeswoman for the library said: “All the children were a pleasure and they seemed to enjoy doing it.”
