Robbery decrease

KNIFE-POINT robberies have fallen by more than 18 per cent in Derbyshire, according to the latest figures.

There were 110 crimes of this nature between October, 2010, and September, 2011, compared to 135 for the same period the previous year – a reduction of 18.5 per cent.

However, Det Chf Supt Steve Cotterill, of Derbyshire police, said that officers would not start getting complacent.
