a SPECTACULAR cake featuring a picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton was the centrepiece of a village party in Holbrook to celebrate the royal wedding.
Villagers flocked to join in the fun at Holbrook Sports and Social Club from 11am on the day of the nuptials.
The Westminster Abbey wedding was shown on a big screen in the club before guests enjoyed picnics and a barbecue.
Tables were decked out in Union Flag tablecloths, while entertainment included a bouncy castle and inflatable slide, a Punch and Judy show, penalty shoot-out and a make your own wedding crown competition.
Guests could also try their hand at a circus workshop, where skills included plate-spinning, skittles and balloon modelling, while others had their faces painted.
An evening of entertainment included music from the band Metropolis.
The bash was one of many parties across the Belper area, and also the UK, held to mark the marriage of the newly appointed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who were wed in London on Friday, April 29.
