THE Princess Royal will visit two businesses in Denby later this year to help them celebrate special birthdays.
She will be in the village on Monday, September 12, to visit Denby Pottery and Deb Ltd.
Denby Pottery recently celebrated 200 years of manufacturing in Derbyshire.
Deb – the makers of Swarfega – is in its 70th year and the Princess will open their new European headquarters.
The Princess will also visit former Belper firm Thornton’s, which is in its 100th year.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire Willie Tucker said: “I am delighted that the Princess has accepted our invitation to visit companies who have consistently shown their commitment to manufacturing in Derbyshire and who are celebrating significant birthdays.”
