Visitors will be able to get stuck into a wide range of hands-on activities during an open evening at Belper School.

Parents and students, current and future, and the local community are invited to get involved in everything from sports to science and technology on Thursday, September 18.

There is also an opportunity to chat to teachers informally about the work they do.

Headteacher Martyn Cooper (pictured) said: “The Open Evening is a great opportunity to see a wide range of work, extra-curricular and enrichment activities that students at the school experience.”

A group of sixth form health and social care students will be providing a crèche to keep the youngest visitors aged two to seven entertained with a range of activities and healthy food available free of charge. The event takes place from 5.45pm to 6.45pm.
