police want to trace the owners of this jewellery, pictured right, which they believe may have been stolen in Derbyshire.

Officers believe the items, which have been valued at £26,850, could have been stolen from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire or Lincolnshire.

On October 1 last year, Derbyshire police arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man at the Giltbrook Retail Park under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

A BMW car was searched by officers, who discovered the matching jewellery — a silver and diamond bracelet, ring and two earrings.

The pair, who are from Nottinghamshire, but have connections to Cromford, have been released on bail pending further inquires.

Anyone who can help officers identify where the jewellery has come from should call PC 2259 Hyde on 0345 123 3333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
