CHILDREN from Kilburn enjoyed a sporty half-term by taking part in an inter-village Olympics competition.
They joined youngsters from Ripley for the miniature games at Kilburn Village Hall, Lea Green and Ripley Leisure Centre.
The games were organised to give the children a chance to have fun and get some exercise.
Around 15 children, aged from four to 11, took part in the week-long series of specially-coached sessions.
Activities included tennis, cricket and dodgeball.
Lauren Bestwick, who is a coach at Ripley Leisure Centre, helped organise the games. She said: “We ran different sessions in different villages and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
