Sue pulls on charity boots once more

A DUFFIELD woman who has raised more than £4,000 by completing charity walks is getting set to don her boots once more.

Sue Daniells, of Avenue Road, has taken part in Breast Cancer Care’s ‘Ribbon Walk’ for the past two years in honour of a friend who beat breast cancer. She has raised around 2,000 each year for the cause. This year the mother-of-two is walking with five friends and hopes to raise even more throgh the sponsored walk and a pink-themed party at Chevin Golf Club in Belper.

Sue, 45, said she started out walking for her friend but then it just became something she did every year.

She said: “It’s a great day, its something I look forward to every year. You get to spend the day walking and chatting to friends and support a good cause at the same time. It’s nice that everybody is in the same boat, knowing someone who’s suffered from cancer.”
