Crich Tramway Village has scooped an award for their work with young people at the Derbyshire Heritage Awards.

The popular attraction was also given an award for excellence and was highly commended for one of its volunteering projects at the ceremony on Friday.

Dr Mike Galer, general manager at Crich Tramway Village, said: “Our submissions were the result of staff and volunteers working together successfully to provide a fantastic, customer friendly venue.

“We are very proud of all our volunteers and the way we encourage young people to add to their skills, helping them prepare for work.”
