Detectives investigating an attempted robbery at a supermarket have arrested two men.

A 29-year-old Little Eaton man and a 35-year-old man from Derby have both been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and released on bail while inquiries continue.

Officers were called to Aldi on Southmead Way, off Uttoxeter New Road in Derby, shortly before 11pm on Thursday March 31.

Three men got into the closed store while a delivery was being made and demanded money. They fled empty-handed and drove away in a dark coloured car. No-one was injured.
