Vandals strike at Army cadet centre

AN ARMY cadet training centre in Belper was ransacked after vandals smashed a window to get in.

Staff from the building, which is on Clusters Road, discovered the damage at 6.30pm on Monday, November 7.

It had been locked up since 6pm the previous Thursday, November 3.

Police say nothing was stolen, despite the place being ransacked.

Officers now want to hear from any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between the Thursday and the Monday.

If you have any information on the incident, please contact Belper police on the new Derbyshire police non-emergency number, 101.

The number is for matters that do not require an emergency response, such as reporting crime.
