Fire crews from Alfreton were called out four times over the weekend

At 9.10pm on Saturday, crews from Alfreton and Ripley cut free a person who was trapped in their car following a collision on Pentrich Road.

On Saturday at 7.50pm they were called to West Street where they extinguished a 5m by 5m rubbish fire in South Normanton.

At 1.24am on Saturday Alfreton crews were also called out to a bonfire tha was out of control on Preston Avenue in Alfreton.

Crews were called out to Princess Avenue in South Normanton at 7.35am on Sunday where a 2m by 2m pile of rubbish was on fire against a fence.
