FRITCHLEY emerged victorious from this year's annual Lea and Holloway Carnival six-a-side cricket competition.
Played at Cromford Cricket Club, four teams entered the competition namely Lea and Holloway, Fritchley, the Cliff Inn (Crich) and Highfields.

Each team played three matches of five, nine-ball overs; a different bowler for each over.

With only six members a team and despite a shortened boundary, the spectators were treated to some exciting matches.

Lea and Holoway, the Cliff Inn and Highfields won match a piece and Fritchley two. With just one match to play Fritchley were drawn against the Cliff Inn in the final and deciding match.

Fritchley scored 74 in their six overs and in tense and close match were able to restrict the Cliff Inn to 67 runs to make sure they ended the day undefeated and also clinch the trophy.
