BELPER TOWN 2
LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 1
Belper Town began the 2008/09 league campaign with a victory but they made hard work of it.

The visitors caused a few problems throughout and took a half-time lead courtesy of a 42nd minute Callum Ross goal whose toe-poke found the net albeit somewhat fortunately.

Belper had spurned a catalogue of chances but eventually made two of them count in the last 16 minutes to turn the game around.

A magnificent cross from out on the flank by Richard Tracey dropped over the visiting keeper and Danny Hudson forced the ball over the line at the second attempt from close range to equalise on 74.

Ben Walker grabbed the winner when he finally took one of several opportunities which came his way, rifling in a good low left-footed 20-yard shot just inside a post on 71 minutes.

Attendance: 171.

The Nailers are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to face Leek Town (7.45pm).
