Skittles league presentation night

DAVID Laughlin represented sponsors JC Balls and Sons to make the presentations for the 24th Belper and District Skittles League season.
The event, which included a dinner, a disco and music from local group The Grapes, was held at the Regency Rooms in Ilkeston.

David Robinson compered the presentations and the stand-up bingo.

The Wreck picked up three trophies as Division One w
inners, Knockout Cup winners and Five-a-Side winners.

The Greyhound added Champions of Champions to their Division Two title.

Heanor Labour Club took the runner-up spot in Division One with the Hill Top holding the same position in Division Two.

The Old Kings Head were Cup runners-up and the Gate at Loscoe the Five-a-Side runners up.

Terry Sutcliffe of the Old Kings Head was the Singles winner with Terry Williscroft of the Black Bulls Head the runner-up.

The Pairs title was won by Darren Capewell and Keith Smith of Heanor Labour Club.

The Gate, Loscoe pairing of Carl and Pete Breen took runner-up spot.

Julian Bilbie of the Wheel won the Captains Cup with Darren Capewell of Heanor Labour Club as the runner-up.

The Landlords Trophy was won by Paul Carroll of the Old Kings Head with Keith Smith of Heanor Labour Club as the runner-up.

The Trophy for the best nine ball score of the season at 32 went to Craig Bollington of the George at Lower Hartshay while Gary Foulkes of the Travellers Rest and Simon Brown of the Coach & Horses shared the best 3 ball score on 16.

Margaret Brown presented the Ladies Shield to M Medcalf of the Hill Top as the winner and the runner-up trophy to her daughter Sharon Brown of the Greyhound.

Josie presented the Triples Award to Malc, Gary and Dan of the George and Dragon.

The George and Dragon won the Sportsman award for Division One with Red Lion A winning the Division Two.
