FOUR Belper area youngsters were among 11 of Amber Valley's brightest sporting stars who have had their achievements recognised with bursaries of £300 each.
Gymnast Greg Townley and swimmer Fiona Donnelly are among those to receive a cash boost from the Derbyshire Talented Athlete Fund.

Also presented with a bursary is Denby archer Sarah Smith and Duffield-based hockey players Joanna Lane and Laura Bridge.

The Mayor of Amber Valley, Cllr Peter Arnold, co-presented the cheques along with Dan Newton, Derbyshire Sport’s Governing Bodies Officer in a ceremony at Heanor Leisure Centre recently.
