Belper Amateurs CC under 11s team have come on leaps and bounds this season and are on something of a hot streak at the moment.

Amateurs lost their first two matches but came back with a vengeance to win five consecutive matches.

With only one match left, they are third in the league and have high hopes to make it to the top.

This is a very young side with only four team members in Year six, making it an even greater achievement. The success they have had at hardball Kwik cricket has been remarkable. With an unbeaten record they are steaming towards the champions trophy and the cup final.

Coach Richard Deeming said: “Some players are completely new to the game this season and I’m very proud of them all. To see them all grow in confidence and work well as a team is a pleasure to be part of”.
