Belper Amateurs are still hot on the heels of Belper Meadows at the top of the DCCL Division 6N.
Ahead of the match this Saturday between the two sides, Amateurs enjoyed a thumping 149-run win over Breadsall at the weekend.
Belper’s total of 240-5 from their 46 overs was built around a fine knock of 73 from opener Oliver Deeming.
There was good support further down the order from Chris Maleham with 38, plus 44 not out from David Nightingale and an unbeaten 38 from Paul Spencer.
When Breadsall started out on their reply, they found the going tough, with only Dan Kelly (33) and James Drew (28) really coming to terms with the bowling as they were all out for 91.
Nightingale and Josh Pickering took two wickets each while Spencer grabbed three.
