Denby CC 1sts earned their first Derbyshire Premier League victory of the season on Saturday.
After defeats in the opening two league games, Joe Greenhalgh’s side got off the mark by beating Dunstall.
Denby won the toss and bowled first.
Dunstall were dismissed for 178 in the 45th over, an innings largely built around a knock of 86 by Derbyshire’s Scott Elstone.
His Derbyshire teammate Mark Footitt was in fine form for Denby, bowled with pace and accuracy to take 5-25 from 10.4 overs.
Rehan Hassan was also in impressive form for Denby. He took 4-42 from 14 overs.
In reply, Denby reached their target in the 54th over with three wickets in hand.
Opener Liam Glenn batted well at the top of the innings for 31 and Rehan Hassan completed an excellent all-round game by top scoring with a patient 38 from 86 balls.
The job was completed by Will Davis (14 not out) and Joe Greenhalgh (22 not out ) with 38 for the eighth wicket.
