Denby CC 1sts secured a crushing victory in quick time on Saturday in the Derbyshire Premier Cricket League away to Alfreton.
Going into the game, Alfreton had still not recorded a league win this season, although they would break their duck 24 hours later against Marehay.
As for Denby, they won the toss and asked their hosts to bat first.
This proved to be an excellent decision as only two Alfreton batsmen made it to double figures and they were bowled out for just 65 in 29.3 overs.
Anthony Mosca was the first to, dismissed by Will Davis for seven, and the rest of the top seven also went for single figure scores.
The top score came from Ben Slater with 17 while Richard Briggs added ten not out.
For Denby, wicketkeeper Bradley Davis took five catches while Will Davis and Greg Cork combined to excellent effect, taking four wickets each.
There was also a wicket for Fraser Kirk, plus a run out for Jonathan Simms.
Denby made light work of their reply, knocking off the required runs in 5.3 overs, racing along at a run rate of 13 per over and losing only one wicket in the process.
Will Davis and Bradley Davis opened the innings and completed a fine all-round day for both of them, putting on 57 for the first wicket. The former scored 31 off just 14 balls, the latter 25 not out off 16 balls.
